CHAYA DEVI

Chaya Devi was born in July 2011 and her parents had seen the white spot in her eye for over 1.5 years and ignored it despite having got a correct diagnosis and suggestions for treatment. Cancer has spread and was seen in the CT scan at the end of September 2014. Finally, her treatment started when her eyeball was pushed outward and we got an urgent request from Narayana Nethralaya for financial assistance as the parents are poor and the father works as a Coolie who gets minimal daily wages. Her right eye was enucleated in December 2014 and COP was done. She is now an active and enthusiastic school-going child. Iksha is also supporting her education.
