BASAVANNA

Basavanna is from Chamrajnagar, Karnataka. A teacher at his school noticed that he had vision problems and suggested parents, take him for an eye checkup. He was diagnosed with bilateral Retinoblastoma, type E in both eyes. His left eye had been enucleated post 6 cycles of chemotherapy and a custom-made prosthetic eye was done. He received Brachytherapy to treat a tumor in the right eye and received a few more cycles of chemotherapy to treat small grains of the tumor.
