DHARANESH NAIK

Dharanesh is born with a squint and his parents noticed a white reflex later. Since the child has a family history of people with a squint, the parents ignored the early sign until the left eye was red and swollen. His father is a pharmacist at a large hospital and the child has started treatment with examination under anesthesia, scans, and two cycles of chemotherapy at the hospital he works. They have spent most of their savings on this treatment and even sold their land for the treatment cost. They have come to Narayana Nethralaya, Bangalore on 17th November 2014, and his left eye was enucleated on 26th November 2014. A custom-made ocular prosthetic eye was done and he visits the hospital every 6 months for a checkup.
