GYAAN GOWDA

Gyaan Gowda was around five months old when his parents noticed a white reflection in his right eye. He was diagnosed with bilateral retinoblastoma at Kidwai Institute of Oncology and was advised to undergo chemotherapy, followed by regular EUA.
His father works as a school vehicle driver, and the family has struggled to afford the cost of his treatment.
Gyaan is now 2 years and 4 months old and has successfully completed chemotherapy at Kidwai Institute of Oncology. He is currently receiving follow-up care at HORUS Hospital and is in stable condition. As his tumour has shown good regression following treatment, doctors have advised an EUA every two months for the next 12 months to closely monitor his condition and detect any signs of recurrence.
