NEVADHASHREE

Nivedashree was referred to Narayana Nethralaya in January 2016. She was examined under anesthesia and was diagnosed with an advanced stage of Retinoblastoma. She completed 6 rounds of chemo, and 12 sessions of laser therapy. Her tumor was still active as she had an advanced stage of the tumor, Enucleation of an eye was considered as a possible action. Fortunately, Examination under anesthesia and MRI Scan showed Nivedashree’s tumor had regressed and the doctors decided to save both the eyes as her vision is good. Nivedashree received brachytherapy at the Center for Sight, Hyderabad. Her progress was being monitored and the result showed that the tumor has subsided. She is on yearly follow-up now.
