Payal’s parents noticed a white reflex in her right eye in Feb 2018 but could not consult a doctor immediately due to financial problems. Two months later they consulted a Government doctor who suspected it to be a tumor. A CT-scan was done, and she was diagnosed with Unilateral Retinoblastoma. Her right eye has been enucleated immediately due to the presence of an advanced tumor and a custom-made prosthetic eye has been implanted. She has regular follow ups now.
