Her parents noticed a white reflex in both her eyes when she was around 9 months old, in May 2025. She was initially examined at Minto Hospital and later referred to Kidwai Institute of Oncology, where she was diagnosed with bilateral retinoblastoma. Her father works as a farmer.

Praanvi is now 2 years old and has successfully completed 6 cycles of chemotherapy at Kidwai. She is currently doing well and receiving regular follow-up care at HORUS Hospital. Doctors have advised regular EUA, with focal treatment if required, to monitor for any recurrence. She has also been advised to undergo an MRI scan and continue regular follow-up.
