His grandmother noticed symptoms in his eyes in July 2026, when he was 3 years old. He was subsequently diagnosed with Bilateral RB at Sri Shankara Cancer Centre. Both his parents are visually impaired, and his father works as a Braille writer at Sahana Charitable Trust for the Disabled, an NGO.

He has completed 4 of the 6 planned chemotherapy cycles and is currently receiving treatment and follow-up care at HORUS Hospital. His right eye has an advanced tumour with bleeding, while the tumours in his left eye are gradually reducing in size. Doctors have advised an MRI scan, followed by possible enucleation of the right eye and fitting of a customised ocular prosthesis. Laser treatment for his left eye is planned after the remaining two chemotherapy cycles. He continues to undergo regular follow-up examinations to monitor his condition.
