Parents noticed a white reflex in her right eye, along with frequent blinking and sensitivity to light, in May 2026, when she was around 6.5 years old. She was initially examined at a local hospital in Davangere and later diagnosed with unilateral retinoblastoma (Group E) at Narayana Nethralaya. She began chemotherapy at MSH Hospital and has completed three cycles. Although the tumour has reduced in size, it remains active. She has one chemotherapy cycle remaining, after which doctors will reassess her condition to determine whether surgery is required.
